UPEI starts regular season hosting SMU and St FX

UPEI Hockey Panthers Hosts SMU in Opener -  St. FX on Saturday Night

Charlottetown – The UPEI men’s hockey Panthers start playing games that have more meaning as they host the St .Mary’s Huskies in their season opener Friday night. UPEI hosts St. FX on Saturday. Both games are at MacLauchlan Arena and start at 7pm.

UPEI went 6-2 in exhibition play and the start of the regular season games is welcomed by head coach Forbie MacPherson.

“With the season starting now there is more on the line with each game.  I don’t put too much into exhibition games, but they do serve a purpose and it is better that we went 6-2 and not 2-6,” MacPherson said.
